Well now. I had not realised this was a playlist. After a cracking start (turn it up, sit back) I can't really vouch for the rest...although Shangri-La is definitely making it onto my iTunes.

I just accepted the post of Assistant House Steward with the National Trust. I'm not sure that has sunk in yet. The property has the most wonderful wunderkammer that is not often open to the public. A cabinet of curiosities collected, as you did, by the owner's family throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. My favourite thing, out of all the rags, bones and hanks of hair is a squarely linked necklace, that looks Elizabethan and is probably Indian. It has the look of the gaudy baubles of the Shakespearean stage. You know the ones in the portraits, framed against the black silk after all that lace edging and looking all a bit ladybird book simplistic. In real life, the portrait painter has clearly depicted it perfectly.
